What This Tool Does

If you're running Amazon Ads, some keywords are earning you sales — and some are just burning through budget with nothing to show for it. The problem is that Amazon's own reporting makes it hard to see the signal through the noise, especially when you have dozens or hundreds of search terms in a campaign.

The Ads Analyzer takes your campaign report and instantly splits your keywords into three buckets: the winners earning you sales efficiently, the money pits wasting spend, and the hidden winners converting well but not getting enough budget. It also calculates your overall ACOS and tells you where it stands.

How to Download Your Amazon Ads Report

  1. 1

    Log into advertising.amazon.com

  2. 2

Go to Measurement & Reporting → Reports

  3. 3

Select Sponsored Products as the campaign type

  4. 4

Select Search Term as the report type

  5. 5

Set your date range — last 30–90 days is recommended for enough data to be meaningful

  6. 6

Click Generate Report and download the CSV file when it's ready

Only Sponsored Products Search Term reports are supported. Product targeting or keyword reports will not parse correctly.

Reading Your Results

Overall ACOS

Your average Advertising Cost of Sale — the percentage of revenue spent on ads. Lower is better. The tool labels your ACOS so you can gauge where you stand:

Excellent Under 20%
Good 20–35%
High 35–54%
Critical 54%+ — spending more than you're earning

Money Pits

Keywords that are generating clicks and spending budget but not converting into sales. The tool shows the count of money-pit keywords and the total dollars wasted. These are your first targets to pause or add as negative keywords.

Hidden Winners

Keywords with strong conversion rates that aren't getting enough budget. These terms are actively earning sales for every dollar spent — consider increasing bids on these so they get more impressions.
